The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that aspirants seeking to contest for chairmanship positions in the upcoming Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections will be required to pay ₦20 million for the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.

In a statement released by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), it was disclosed that the cost is broken down into ₦5 million for the expression of interest form and ₦15 million for the nomination form.

For councillorship positions, the total fee has been set at ₦2.5 million—₦500,000 for the expression of interest form and ₦2 million for the nomination form.

The party’s leadership did not provide further details on the timetable or screening process but affirmed that the fees are part of its preparations ahead of the FCT council polls.
