GOV. DAUDA LAWAL CLEARS ₦13.94bn GRATUITY BACKLOG IN ZAMFARA………..

Governor Dauda Lawal has cleared a backlog of ₦13.94 billion in gratuities owed to Zamfara State and local government retirees since 2011.

Speaking in Gusau, the governor said 3,824 state retirees got ₦8bn, while 4,833 local government retirees received ₦6bn.

He emphasized his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare and restoring dignity to public service.

Lawal also inaugurated a Contributory Pension Committee and pledged reforms to ensure a sustainable pension system.

Retirees expressed deep gratitude, describing the move as a long-awaited relief.
