By: Sadiq Aminu                                                     The candidate of the PDP in the 2023 presidential election, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has rejected the judgement of the presidential election petition court and asked his lawyers to seek redress at the supreme court.

The former Vice President who briefed journalists at the PDP headquarters in Abuja said he would continue to fight for the progress of democratic ideas as he has done throughout his political career.

He explained that he however respected the verdict of the judges as he would continue to have faith in the judiciary.

Earlier the acting national chairman of the party, Ambassador Umar Damagun said the judgement of the tribunal had brought hopelessness and confusion to many Nigeria as according to him, laws and facts were thrown overboard.

The Presidential candidate of the labour party Mr. Peter Obi is also expected to address the media soon.
