LASEMA SAYS IT HAS RECEIVED AN ALERT ABOUT A BURST PIPELINE AT THE PEN CINEMA OF AGEGE                                                                              04-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Lagos state Emergency Management Agency says it has received an alert about a burst pipeline at the Pen Cinema in the agege area of the state.

A statement by the Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu says it has already activated the State Emergency Response Plan.

According to Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu, The agency and other first responders would remain on high alert until the risk assessment and any necessary repairs to be carried out by the NNPC is fully completed.

It advises the public to exercise extreme caution in and around the area to prevent any form of explosion or ignition from naked flame or other activity.

The statement further explains that the area has been cordoned off and police support was used to prevent illegal scooping of product.
