By Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The House of Representatives has assured that the 10th Assembly has and will continue to run an open National Assembly and ensure that prompt information is disseminated to the media especially the House of representatives press corps for easy reportage.

The Spokesman of the house and Chairman Committee on Media and Publicity Mr Akin Rotimi gave the assurance during a familiarization visit with the house press corps including Africa247.

This according to him would ensure proactiveness with regards to activities of constituencies and various committees.

Rotimi added that members of the house will avail their time and be available for engagement with the press corps whenever the need arises.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee Philip Agbese called for maximum cooperation of the Corps and appealed that research, questions and proper findings should be carried out before reports are published.

The Special Advicer on Media to the Speaker, Musa Krishi reiterated the need for cohesion between the media and the Lawmakers to address challenges that may come up.
