By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Kano State Government has reaffirmed its dedication to tackling the growing problems of phone snatching and drug abuse among the state’s populace.

Brigadier General Gambo Mai Aduwa, Chairman of the Taskforce Committee on Anti-Phone Snatching and Drug Abuse, made this clear during a press briefing in Kano.

According to General Aduwa, the taskforce committee has made significant strides in reducing the incidence of drug abuse and phone snatching, which has become increasingly prevalent among young people.

He attributed these successes to the committee’s gathering of intelligence and collaboration with other security agencies.

General Aduwa emphasized that combating phone snatching and drug abuse requires a collective effort, urging the public to provide the necessary support to achieve the state’s objectives.

” Since its inception, the taskforce committee has conducted several operations, resulting in numerous arrests and prosecutions through the mobile court attached to the committee.”

He applauded Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his commitment towards curtailing the menace of drug abuse and phone snatching in the state.

The Chairman appealed for the general public’s support in addressing the challenges of phone snatching and drug abuse in the state, emphasizing the importance of a united front in ensuring security and safety for all.
