TARABA GOVERNOR ORDERS IMMEDIATE PAYMENT OF PENSIONS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has signed an Executive Order for the swift payment of all outstanding pensions, gratuities, and entitlements to verified pensioners.

According to his Chief Press Secretary, Yusuf Sanda, the governor said the move reflects the state’s duty to honour those who devoted their lives to public service.

A special team will visit all LGAs and communities to identify pensioners who are alive but unable to report physically, ensuring they receive their benefits without stress. The Ministry of Finance will also submit weekly compliance reports to the governor.

The state government urges pensioners to remain calm, assuring them that payments are being treated with urgency.
