TIN CAN ISLAND PORT COMMAND OF THE NCS NEST  IN A WHOPPING 128.4BN INTO THE FEDERATION ACCOUNT FOR THE MONTH OF MAY, 2025                                                                                    12-06-25
By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigerian Customs Service has netted in a whopping one hundred and twenty eight point four billion naira into the federation account for the month of May, 2025.
The Command also sustains a seamless cargo clearance which helps it achieve the feat.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr Oscar Ivara in a Statement made available to newsmen in Lagos, confirmed the feat recorded by the Command, in revenue collection for the month of May, to be unprecedented in the history of the Command, so far.
The Statement says , the Customs Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Frank Onyeka made this possible through his professional expertise and his ever – readiness to ensure faster trade facilitation at the Command.

The sum of one hundred and twenty eight point four billion naira generated by the Command for May, is far more than what was collected under the same period, last year at the Command.
The Statement confirms the fact that Comptroller Onyeka has made concerted efforts to build on the achievements of his Predecessor, by moving the Command forward and thus raising the bar in seamless operations for greater efficiency and productivity.

He is said to have given the Maritime Stakeholders the assurance of a faster and seamless cargo clearance and commensurate revenue collection thus seen to be walking the talk, hence his performance beyond the promise he made months ago when he assumed Office at the Command.

In April, this year, Comptroller Onyeka also made an impressive revenue collection with a whopping one hundred and forty five billion naira, paid into the federal government’s coffers.
His constant engagements and collaboration with the Stakeholders within his area of jurisdiction and responsibility has helped in fostering unity, cooperation and total understanding in operations at the Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigerian Customs Service, all the time.
