PDP GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS FROM OSUN RACE, BACKS ADELEKE

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Osun State, Adedamola Adebayo, popularly known as FRYO, has withdrawn from Saturday’s election and declared support for incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Adebayo announced his decision in Osogbo, saying it followed extensive consultations and a careful assessment of the political situation in the state.
He said the decision was made in the broader interest of Osun rather than personal ambition, adding that he had informed PDP leaders, members and key stakeholders of his position.
Adebayo urged his supporters and PDP members to support Adeleke in the election, while calling on all candidates and their supporters to reject violence, intimidation and hate speech before, during and after the poll.
