OLOYEDE HANDS OVER AS JAMB REGISTRAR, CHARGES SUCCESSOR TO BUILD ON REFORMS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Professor Ishaq Oloyede has officially handed over as Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), saying the board now stands on a solid foundation of transparency, innovation and accountability.

Speaking during the handover ceremony in Abuja, Oloyede thanked President Bola Tinubu, JAMB staff and stakeholders for their support throughout his tenure. He said the board had transformed Nigeria’s admission system through technology-driven reforms, improved staff welfare and stronger measures against examination malpractice.

The outgoing registrar urged staff and stakeholders to give his successor, Professor Segun Aina, the same cooperation they gave him, expressing confidence that JAMB would continue to strengthen its credibility and sustain the reforms introduced over the past decade.

In his remarks, the new registrar pledged to build on Oloyede’s achievements by promoting professionalism, accountability and innovation, while intensifying efforts to combat examination malpractice through technology and stronger collaboration with relevant agencies.
