TINUBU HAILS RESCUE OF 308 ABDUCTED NIGERIANS, ORDERS STRONGER SECURITY MEASURES

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has welcomed the rescue of 308 abducted Nigerians from Kwara and Niger states, describing the operation as a major success in the fight against insecurity.
The victims were rescued from the Kainji Lake National Park forest during a coordinated intelligence-led operation involving the National Counter-Terrorism Centre, the Armed Forces, the Department of State Services, and the Nigeria Police Force.
President Tinubu commended the security agencies for their courage and teamwork, noting that the rescued victims are receiving medical attention before being reunited with their families.
He also directed security agencies to strengthen early warning systems, improve intelligence gathering, and enhance rapid response efforts to prevent future abductions, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and restoring lasting peace across Nigeria.
