KATSINA GOV’T, CARE NIGERIA LAUNCH PROJECT TO TRAIN 2,000 HEALTH WORKERS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Katsina State Government in partnership with CARE Nigeria has launched the EnRiCH Project to train 2,000 frontline health workers and reach over one million residents with quality healthcare.

The three-year program will cover selected LGAs and provide digital learning tools, savings support, and improved working conditions to strengthen healthcare delivery and reduce the “japa” syndrome affecting the health sector.

Officials say the initiative will boost maternal, child, and adolescent health services, while also building a stronger primary healthcare system in the state.
