SCHOLARSHIP BOOST FOR KANO STUDENTS

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has offered scholarships to 1,000 indigent students of the Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano.

The initiative, under the Barau I. Jibrin Foundation, aims to support students from Kano North Senatorial District, covering their tuition and academic expenses until graduation.

Senator Barau expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the upgrade and renaming of the institution and promised to extend the scholarship to Kano Central and South in future phases.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Abdullahi Tukur Kadage commended the Senator’s continuous support for education and called for more infrastructure development to accommodate the growing student population.

The event was attended by top government officials, university staff, and student leaders.
