COAS FLAGS OFF PHASE TWO OF BOLA AHMED TINUBU BARRACKS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shuaibu, has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase Two of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Barracks in Asokoro, Abuja, reinforcing the Nigerian Army’s commitment to improved welfare and sustainable housing for its personnel.

The project builds on the successful completion of Phase One earlier this year and reflects the Army’s shift toward long-term solutions to accommodation challenges. General Shuaibu said the initiative aligns with his command philosophy of placing soldiers’ welfare at the centre of efforts to build a professional and combat-ready force.

He expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support and funding of the project, while reaffirming the loyalty of officers and men of the Nigerian Army to the Constitution. With Phase Two expected to significantly expand housing capacity, the new barracks is set to enhance living conditions and stability for personnel and their families.
