NDA ORGANISES SPECIAL JUMMA’AT PRAYER TO COMMEMORATE DIAMOND JUBILEE                                                                                                                   02-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy-NDA, Major General John Ochai has tasked officers of the Armed Forces to sustain discipline in the discharge of their duties.

He gave the charge shortly after a special Juma’at prayers organised to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Academy.

Major General John Ochai, who was represented by Director of Administration at the Academy, Navy Commodore Danjuma Muhammad Ndanusa, explained that for the Nigerian Armed Forces to retain its global goodwill, officers and men must sustain the virtue of discipline, which is a core value of the military profession.

He pointed out that the special Juma’at prayer was organised to thank God and celebrate the milestones achieved by the Academy, which is the bedrock of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

In his sermon, Chief Imam of the NDA central mosque, Captain Musa Zakariya Yusuf called on Muslims to be just and fair in dealing with people irrespective of ethnic or religious differences for national development.

The Special Juma’at prayer was attended by serving and retired senior officers of the Armed Forces, cadets and members of the NDA community.
