Speaking to Africa247 in Kano, Sagagi emphasized the need to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, stating that his ministry would work in synergy with other government agencies to achieve this goal.

He said among the top in his agenda is the creation of clusters for a hub of trades, which he believes will flourish with the right support.

Sagagi noted that plans to collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Land to ensure that businesses have access to the resources they need to succeed.

He said his agency would work closely with the Ministry of Environment to ensure that markets in the state are healthy and attractive to investors.

The Commissioner Maintained that government plans to bring back cooperative shops, which will provide citizens with access to commodities at cheaper rates.

“Governor Abba Kabir has approved the refurbishing of the Garment industries, which was initiated by former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. ”

” government plans to create an avenue for youths to receive training in the garment industry, enabling them to become self-employed and employers of labor.”

” Over 600 youths in each local government area are expected to benefit from this program.”

Sagagi also emphasized the importance of ensuring that companies operating in the state employ Kano indigenes and observe their corporate social responsibility.

He said his ministry plans to collect data on foreigners doing business in Kano to prevent them from crushing small businesses operated by indigenes.
