By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

President Bola Tinubu has declared that his administration is determined to defeat terrorism and banditry, describing insecurity as alien to Nigeria’s values and a major threat to economic survival.

Speaking at the opening of the Second National Economic Council Conference in Abuja, the President linked national security to development, assuring Nigerians of a more aggressive push to restore peace and stability across the country. He said his government remains committed to overcoming insecurity through resilience and collective effort.

Tinubu also reaffirmed confidence in ongoing economic reforms and the Renewed Hope Development Plan, stressing that peace and security are essential to achieving sustainable growth and national progress.
