The Kano State Head of Civil Service, Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, has inaugurated a steering committee to oversee the implementation of the Kano State Anti-Corruption Strategy (KANSACS).
The committee, inaugurated at the Office of the Head of Civil Service, is expected to strengthen transparency, accountability and efficiency across the state public service.
Maimota urged members to ensure transparent government processes, improve service delivery and remove bureaucratic bottlenecks that hinder effective governance.
Chairman of the committee and Executive Chairman of the Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Sa’idu Yahaya, urged members to implement the KANSACS Action Plan 2024–2028 and translate its provisions into practical reforms.
Yahaya said the strategy must serve as a working blueprint for reducing corruption and strengthening institutional accountability rather than remaining a policy document.
