KANO GOVT, NIWE BOOST COLLABORATION ON WATER INFRASTRUCTURE

The Kano State Government has pledged to deepen collaboration with the National Institute of Water Engineers (NIWE) to improve water infrastructure and engineering standards across the state.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Procurement, Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Abdulrazak Haruna, made the commitment when he received the NIWE Kano Chapter delegation in Kano.
The delegation, led by its Chairman, Engr. Ismail Garba, called for stronger government support for professional development and improved standards in the design, execution and monitoring of water projects.
Haruna welcomed the initiative and assured the institute that its requests would receive due consideration. He also stressed the need for professionalism, technical excellence and continuous training among engineers.
The meeting is expected to strengthen cooperation between the government and NIWE in delivering quality water infrastructure across Kano State.
