ZAMFARA GOVT WARNS TEACHERS AGAINST CORRUPTION, INDISCIPLINE

The Zamfara State Government has warned teachers against corruption, indiscipline, insubordination and other misconduct capable of undermining the education sector.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abdulmalik Gajam, gave the warning in Gusau during the closing ceremony of an 18-day training programme for 250 teachers.
Gajam said the government would not tolerate abuse of office, examination malpractice, exploitation of students or misuse of public resources, urging teachers to remain accountable and professional.
He said the government was committed to improving education in the state and urged teachers to contribute to building a stronger education system.
The Deputy Governor, Mani Malam Mummuni, represented by the Head of Service, Yakubu Sani Haidara, urged the participants to apply the knowledge gained from the training to improve teaching and learning in their schools.
