TROOPS ARREST TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, DESTROY ENCLAVES IN NORTHWEST

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have arrested suspected terrorist collaborators and destroyed terrorist enclaves during operations in Kaduna and Katsina states.
The Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North West, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, said troops arrested three suspects in Kaduna on August 27 after intercepting one of them with two locally made guns and 13 rounds of ammunition.
He said the suspects were linked to an illicit weapons supply network and are undergoing investigation.
Danja added that troops and other security agencies also destroyed terrorist camps in Maharba and Karaduwa areas of Matazu Local Government Area, Katsina State. The operation led to the recovery of an RPG-7 tube, a motorcycle, mobile phones and other items.
He said troops are maintaining patrols in the area to prevent terrorists from regrouping and to restore peace to affected communities.
