US WARNS NIGERIANS: VISA OVERSTAYS COULD COST YOU FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The United States Mission in Nigeria has cautioned Nigerian travellers against visa overstays, warning that such actions could limit future travel opportunities for others.

In a statement shared on Monday, the mission stressed the need for strict compliance with U.S. immigration rules, noting that violations and visa misuse remain serious concerns.

It urged travellers to respect visa conditions and maintain lawful conduct, adding that protecting the system ensures fair access for students, business travellers, and families.

The mission also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting safe and legal travel between Nigeria and the United States.
