KANO CLOSES PAYMENT FOR 2026 HAJJ

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the official closure of payment draft collection for the 2026 Hajj. Director General Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa said the deadline ended on December 5, 2025, with no extension granted after a meeting with NAHCON in Abuja.

He explained that the early closure follows new regulations from Saudi authorities requiring stricter and earlier processing for the upcoming Hajj. Danbappa assured that all registered pilgrims will receive efficient services as preparations continue.

Board Chairman Alhaji Yusif Lawan thanked stakeholders for their cooperation and urged pilgrims who have completed their payments to remain patient as the next phase begins.
