NORTHERN YOUTHS, STUDENTS DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM PLANNED NATIONAL PROTEST                                                                                                                                          17-07-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               The Coalition Concerned Northern Youths and Students have dissociated themselves from the planned national protest by the Nigerian Youths and Students.

National Coordinator Jibrin Sani Bello made this known while addressing journalists at the Nigeria Union of Journalists center in Kano.

Bello expressed satisfaction with the policies and plans of the Tinubu-led Administration in the educational sector, particularly the introduction of the student loan scheme.

He urged students to refrain from participating in the protest, citing uncertainty about the organizers’ intentions and potential violence.

He emphasized the importance of prioritizing their future and education, highlighting the administration’s consideration in providing interest-free educational loans to support their studies.

The group’s decision to distance themselves from the protest reflects their confidence in the government’s efforts to address the challenges facing students in higher institutions of learning.

” We agreed on this unanimous decision after our Annual general meeting” he added.
