PRESIDENT TINUBU CHARGES THE NEWLY-APPOINTED HEAD OF SERVICE TO UPHOLD THE LEGACY OF HER PREDECESSOR 12-08-24
By Sadiq Aminu President Tinubu has charged the newly-appointed Head of Service, Mrs Esther Didi Walson-Jack, to uphold the legacy of the outgone Head of Service, and prayed God to guide and provide her with wisdom and integrity.
He gave the charge in Abuja, while swearing her in before the commencement of this week’s meeting of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, in which she also attended.
During the brief ceremony, President Tinubu commended the outgone Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Yemi Esan, for the significant impact she had made on the Nigerian public service.
While given gratitude to God for seeing her through her career successfully, Dr. Esan advised civil servants to adopt the habit of placing the progress of the country above their personal interests.
“Every public servant must understand that their primary duty is to serve the nation, not any other interests. I urge them to always prioritise the progress of our nation above all else. With this commitment, I am confident that Nigeria will achieve the greatness that God has destined for it”, she said.
Dr. Esan was appointed by the Buhari Administration and re-appointed by the same administration.
