By Sadiq Aminu                                                               Chief of the Air Staff Visits Enugu and Port Harcourt To Assess Infrastructural Facilities and Operational Readiness

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar has emphasized the importance of maintaining high levels of preparedness to meet current and emerging security challenges.

In a statement by the Deputy Director, Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Group Captain Kabiru Ali says the Air Chief stated this during an operational tour of NAF units in Enugu and Port Harcourt.

Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar further highlighted his commitment to implementing developmental projects and procuring critical service facilities that would elevate the standards of the units.

He assured personnel that efforts to provide better facilities and equipment would be prioritized.

Air Marshal Abubakar noted that the operational visit underscores his determination to improving NAF’s airpower capabilities through strategic Infrastructural enhancements, as well as robust operational, logistical and welfare support.

According to the statement, the visit was in furtherance of the drive to actualise his command philosophy of transforming the Nigerian Airforce for greater agility and resilience to effectively project airpower in meeting all national security imperatives.

It was also to evaluate operational readiness and Infrastructural development of the units with a view to enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness.
