A PROBE INTO ALLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT AGAINST A TEACHER, MR. JATTO AT FGGC, BENIN CITY HAS COMMENCED                                                                                           13-02-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      A thorough probe into allegations of sexual harassment against a teacher, Mr. Jatto at the Federal Government Girls College, FGGC, Benin City has commenced.

A statement by the Director Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs. Folasade Boriowo also indicates that the Principal of the school has been summoned to the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja for further clarification.

It however explains that preliminary investigation by a committee set up by the school authority reveals that the case in question was not one of sexual harassment but high-handedness in classroom management which was misrepresented.

According to the statement, Mr. Jatto was on prep supervision duty at the time of the incident and was responding to a rowdy classroom situation.

It says the Ministry remains committed to transparency and upholding the integrity of educational institutions across the country.

The statement urges the public to exercise patience as the final findings of the investigation will be made known in due course.
