Troops under Operation MESA have rescued three persons abducted during a bandit attack in Lakwaya town, Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano State. The operation followed a late-night attack in which armed bandits stormed the community and kidnapped five residents.

The Nigerian Army, working with the Nigerian Air Force and the Police, carried out the coordinated rescue mission, leading to the safe recovery of three victims. Authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining two abducted persons, with security forces maintaining pressure on the attackers to ensure their safe return.
