SOKOTO, ZAMFARA CUSTOMS CONTROLLER PLEDGES TRADE-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT

The new Area Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service for Sokoto and Zamfara States, Aliyu Isa Ndako, has pledged to create a conducive environment for trade and investment in the region.

During a courtesy visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan highlighted the critical role of the Customs Service in national economic growth, revenue generation, and border security. He commended the Service for its contribution to government funding through improved revenue performance and urged Nigerians to support Customs by complying with regulations.

The Sultan also assured of the Sultanate Council’s readiness to partner with agencies that promote national development.

In response, Ndako said the visit was to seek the Sultan’s support and prayers, assuring that his administration would strengthen economic activities and facilitate legitimate trade across Sokoto and Zamfara.
