FCT INAUGURATES AREA COUNCIL ELECTION TRIBUNAL

The FCT High Court has inaugurated the election tribunal for the forthcoming Area Council elections.
At the event, the Chief Judge, Justice Husseini Baba Yusuf, charged tribunal members to remain impartial, independent, and free from external influence while handling election petitions. He stressed that fairness and integrity must guide all proceedings and warned that any form of bribery or corruption would be met with the full weight of the law.
Justice Baba Yusuf said the tribunal should be remembered for the credibility of its process, not just its final decisions. The members, in response, pledged to uphold the law and carry out their duties with professionalism.
