IRAN DENIES TALKS, CLAIMS TRUMP BACKED DOWN

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Iranian media has pushed back against claims of ongoing negotiations with the United States, insisting there has been no direct or indirect contact with former President Donald Trump.

According to a source cited by Fars news agency, Trump allegedly backed down after being warned that Iran could target key infrastructure, including power plants, if tensions escalated.

This directly contradicts earlier remarks suggesting that discussions between both sides were in progress. So far, there has been no independent verification of these claims, and US officials have not issued any response.

The situation adds to growing uncertainty around US-Iran relations, with conflicting narratives raising more questions than answers.
