APM WILL WIN 2027 ELECTIONS, SAYS MAKINDE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has expressed confidence that the party will win the 2027 general elections.

Makinde made the declaration at the APM South-West Town Hall meeting in Akure, Ondo State, where he unveiled his “Reset Nigeria” agenda.

He criticised government spending and budget implementation, arguing that Nigeria needs better financial management, improved security and infrastructure development to drive economic growth.

Makinde said the APM agenda would focus on building a stronger economy, reforming the security system and reducing dependence on federal allocations. He also proposed a transitional government of national unity to reposition the country for prosperity.

He urged voters in the South-West to support the party, insisting that Nigeria needs a government that serves all citizens rather than a select few.

Bauchi State Governor and APM national leader, Bala Mohammed, described Makinde as an experienced leader with the capacity to address the country’s challenges.

The party’s vice-presidential candidate, Lawal Daura, urged members to remain vigilant against attempts to undermine the party, while APM National Chairman Yusuf Dantelle criticised petroleum pricing and insecurity, calling on Nigerians to support the party.
