BOAT MISHAP: 2 CHILDREN DIES IN A BOAT MISHAP IN KATCHA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF NIGER STATE 19-10-23
By Sadiq Aminu Two children have died following a boat mishap in Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State.
Two persons also sustained injuries in the incident.
The Acting Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency NSEMA, Alhaji Garba Salihu who confirmed the incident said the boat mishap happened yesterday at six pm when the engine caught fire due to mechanical failure.
He pointed out that the boat was carrying one hundred and forty five people who were on their way back from katcha Market.
Alhaji Salihu explained that all the passengers were from Danbo community in kogi State.
As at the time of this report,only one body had been recovered.
