GOC DECORATES NEWLY PROMOTED SENIOR OFFICERS IN THE ARMY                                                                     28-10-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The General Officer Commanding 1 Division Kaduna, Major General Valentine has charged newly promoted senior officers to re-double their efforts so as to justify the confidence the Army have on them.

He gave the charge at shortly after decorating 3 newly promoted senior officers who benefitted from the recently released promotion for Lieutenant Colonels and Colonels held at the Division’s auditorium.

Major General Valentine Okoro further charged them to be competent enough to carry out the enormous tasks and responsibilities ahead of them.

He noted that the Nigerian Army has found them worthy to wear the rank, and that no excuses would be entertained for any failure in assigned tasks.

Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Lt Colonel AU Mukhtar expressed appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff for finding them worthy of the elevation, as well as the GOC and their respective Commanders for their mentorship and guidance.

He also appreciated their families for their patience and support, just as he thanked their friends and well wishers for finding time to grace the occasion.

A statement by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 1 Division Kaduna, Lt Colonel Musa Yahaya identified the newly promoted senior officers as Lt Colonel Ahmed Mukhtar, Lt Colonel Akeem Aromashodu and Lt Colonel Isma’il Sanda.
