ONDO PARTIAL STRIKE: PARTIAL STRIKE OBSERVED IN ONDO                                                                                          14-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The NLC – TUC joint strike is being observed partially in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

At federal secretariat, Igbatoro , the complex looked deserted as the car park was virtually empty.

Few offices had one or two senior personnel on ground while the junior workers stayed away .

At the State government secretariat, workers were however in their offices .

Those who spoke with Africa 247 said the local NLC chapter seemed undecided yet.

Efforts to reach the Chairman, Ondo NLC, Comrade Victor Amoko ( r. m.m ) was not successful as calls put to his line did not go through.

At the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA, there’s partial compliance too even as the school prepares for its convocation ceremony this weekend.

While some non academic staff stayed away from offices, lecturers were seen in classes taking lectures.

One of the lecturers, Prof Dapo Fagbenro said they were still awaiting the chapter’s ASUU’s directive.

One of the students, John Owolabi pleaded with Federal Government and NLC to settle amicably as incessant strikes was becoming too often.
