PRESIDENT TINUBU OPTIMISTIC THAT THE PHASE OF ECONOMIC HARDSHIP WILL SOON BE EASED 17-12-23
By Sadiq Aminu President Bola Tinubu has expressed optimism that the phase of economic hardship being experienced will soon be eased based on the economic policies put in place.
The President assured that he and his financial team were working tirelessly to give Nigerians the best economy and open up more opportunities.
He gave the assurance in Lagos at a reception held for him by the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
The President also called on all state governments and other Nigerians to join hands with him to holistically address poverty and terrorism in the country, noting that achieving the desired objectives requires the collaborative efforts.
President Tinubu charged all Local Government to build more schools and ensure maximum enrollment of children in them to further help curb idleness.
The President also assured traditional rulers that culture and traditions would be carried along in the task of nation-building.
He however commended Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Deputy Governor for steering the affairs of Lagos State and making it retain the title, the Centre of Excellence.
The President gave brief remarks on the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, who died of Leukemia cancer.
Earlier, Governor Sanwo-Olu called for the observance of a minute’s silence in honour of the deceased.
He told the President that Nigerians were appreciative of his policies and decisions to change the economic situation of the country.
