FEDERAL GOVERNMENT EXPRESSES DETERMINATION TO ENDING INCESSANT ATTACKS                                                                             01-01-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Federal Government says it is committed towards addressing the recurring attacks on communities in Plateau State.

Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle made the pledge when he visited Governor Caleb Mutfwang in Jos.

Plateau state has been in the news in recent time following the attack and killing of people on Christmas Eve with visits by top Government officials to console the Government and people of the state on the incident

This time, it was the top brass of the security architecture in the country that visited

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle who commiserated with people of the state said they were in the state on the directive of the President to unravel the root cause of the attack and to find lasting solutions to the issue.

The Minister assured Governor Mutfwang that the perpetrators will be identified while those displaced will be resettled.

Responding, Governor Caleb Mutfwang thanked the Minister and the Service chiefs for the visit and charged them to beam their searchlight on the sponsors of the attack with a view to identify and bring them to book

The Minister was accompanied on the visit by the Service Chiefs as well as the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
