NO MORE DELAY IN ISSUANCE OF BUILDING APPROVAL/PERMIT – MD, KNUPDA                                                                                            24-04-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The Managing Director, of Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority ( KNUPDA), Architect Ibrahim Yakub Adamu has inaugurated a new one-stop shop for the prompt issuance of building approval/permit.

Inaugurating the unit at the conference hall of KNUPDA, Ibrahim said the unit was to ease the process of approval by the agency in response to numerous complaints by the public over unnecessary delays in the formalization of building approval/permit.

He pointed out that other duties of the unit are to revive all pending plans, approvals and responses to the inspection and monitoring team’s activities.

The Managing Director explained that the unit is going to be operating directly and instantly by tackling issues brought to KNUPDA without delay.

He then urged the unit to work tirelessly considering the importance of the task and congratulated the staff on their selection which he said was done purely on merit.

The Head of Unit, Bilkisu Muhammad Ibrahim promised that the staff of the unit would work hard towards bringing a positive impact.

The 15-man unit is headed by Bilkisu Muhammad Ibrahim with Sagir Sani Sha’aibu as the secretary.
