The 82 Division Nigerian Army in Enugu State says it would commence the second range classification exercis on Tuesday (tomorrow)

The Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Jonah Unuakhalu, made this known in a statement made available to Radio Nigeria on Monday in Enugu.

Unuakhalu said the exercise would hold from 15-19 August 2023 at the Army training area in Udi LGA.

According to him, the exercise is aimed at sharpening the shooting skill of officers and soldiers of the Division as well as to ascertain the serviceability of weapons of the unit not deployed in operations.

Unuakhalu advised communities living around the area especially residents of Ogbede, Ukehe, Umoka, Affa, Ochima and Onyohor communities not to panic on sighting heavy movement of troops and equipment and hearing of gunshots on mentioned date.

“Similarly, locals are advised to stay away from the range area throughout the exercise as it will involve the use of live ammunition,” Unuakhalu added.
