By: Sadiq Aminu                                                    The Kano state fire service, has confirmed the death of three people due to different disasters, in the month of August 2023.

The public relations officer, Kano state fire service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi made the disclosure.

He explained that, estimated properties lost due to fire were valued at #10,300,000, saying that, #16,700,000 properties were saved due to the hard work, and prompt response of the fire fighters.                                                        The public relations officer highlighted that, the agency responded to series of emergency calls, from twenty-eight fire stations across the state.

“the State fire received a total of twelve fire calls, eight rescue calls and five false alarms”

Saminu urged the public, to desist from raising false alarms, to avoid diverting resources from genuine emergencies.” Am urging citizens to handle fire with care and avoid using Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in vehicles and generators to prevent inferno”

” the importance of abiding by traffic laws to reduce road accidents, and maintaining clear drainage to facilitate water flow during the rainy season to mitigate flooding”

He reiterated the agency’s commitment in protecting lives and Properties, and uplifting the agency to international standards.
