ACCEPT PEPT VERDICT IN GOOD FAITH: HAJIYA KHADIJAT SULEIMAN PLEADS WITH ATIKU/OBI                                                                          08-09-23                                                                                                                                      By: Sadiq Aminu                                                                In the aftermath of the presidential tribunal’s verdict, which handed a resounding defeat to Presidential Candidates Atiku Abubakar from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party’s (LP) Presidential Candidate Peter Obi, Nigerians are not holding back on their opinions.

Speaking on behalf of HAJIYA SEFINAT ODODO, the wife of ODODO AHMED USMAN- the governorship candidate for APC in Kogi State, after the judges announcement, HAJIYA KHADIJAT SULEIMAN (who is the convener of Progressive Like Minds Women Support Group for ODODO) pleaded with ALHAJI ATIKU to as a good muslim see it as an act of GOD. The Qur’an says that “Power is ordained by GOD and he gives to anyone he wills and take it from anyone he wishes, he raise whom he wishes and demits whom he wishes, in GOD all power and dominion lies.” Qur’an 2 V?.                                                                Naturally in any competitive election, there must be a winner and a loser, considering the keenly contested presidential election, the winner has already emerged and therefore, announced by any circumstances deemed fit by the electoral empire. Looking at the iconic judgement of the respected learned judges of PEPT, one cannot but say that it is not a satirical or comic judgement and a landmark judgement, an approach to urging failures to concede and respect the constituted authority and laws of the land.                                                        Expressing their concerns for Nigerians, implore the two politicians to prioritize the welfare of the common man. Instead of pursuing what appears to be a futile Supreme Court battle, they are wilfully suggesting that Atiku and Peter Obi should redirect the substantial resources they plan to spend towards providing much-needed palliatives for the citizens. As leaders of repute, their actions should be guided by reasons and that the entire youths and women are looking up to them for emulation and guidance for future leadership responsibility.                        HAJIYA KHADIJAT used the occasion to remind Kogites that 11-11-23 is the date to redeem the promise made to deliver on ODODO’s mandate, Insha Allahu.
