By Sadiq Aminu                                                       Streets of Kano metropolis were deserted this Thursday following the curfew imposed by the state government to ensure security of lives and properties.

Our correspondent who went round the metropolitan reports that businesses were locked up, and the streets were deserted.

Security were seen patrolling the streets of the metropolitan to ensure adequate security.

Africa 247 recalled that the state government imposed the curfew following the verdict by the election petition tribunal which invalidate the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of NNPP and directed INEC to present a certificate of return to Nasir Yusuf Gawuna as the duely elected Governor.
