ABDUCTION: BENUE COMMISSIONER’S WHEREABOUT UNKNOWN                                                                                24-09-23
By Sadiq Aminu                                                              The Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism,Mr Matthew Aboh was allegedly abducted yesterday ( 24/9/23)at about eight pm at his residence in Ukum Local Government Area.
Eye witnesses account indicates that the kidnappers stormed the Commissioner’s residence on motorcycles, ordered his wife and children to lie face down during which they took him to an unknown destination on one of the motorcycles.
Mr Matthew Aboh who was sworn as Commissioner for lnformation, Culture and Tourism, barely two months ago,hails from Ukum Local Government which has been a major flashpoint of criminal activities with rampant killings and kidnappings.
The incident was said to have been reported to the Benue State Police but as at news time, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene was yet to speak on the matter.
