Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called on residents of the state to remain calm and shun acts capable of breaking down the law and order following the judgment of the Election Petition Tribunal which nullified his election in the March 18 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly Election.

Governor Sule made the call during a news briefing in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital after the tribunal passed its judgment.

According to him, the judgment of the tribunal was unacceptable and will be challenged in the appeal court to secure the mandate given to him by the people at the polls.

The Governor explained that the tribunal verdict was just a temporary setback hence he would remain focused in providing governance to people of the state.

Governor Sule urged residents of the state to remain law abiding and allow his lawyers to do their job in seeking justice.

The Election Petition Tribunal in a split judgment through zoom nullified the election of Alhaji Abdullahi Sule and declared candidate for the people Democratic Party PDP Dr David Ombagadu winner of the March 18 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly Election in Nasarawa State.
