TRIBUNAL VERDICT: COURT DISMISSES NNPP’S CANDIDATE PETITION AGAINST GOV SULE FOR LACKING IN MERIT                                                                     02-10-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                              The Nasarawa State governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Lafia has *struck out* the petition filed by the candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Abdullahi Maidoya against governor Abdullahi Sule for lacking in merit.

Delivering the verdict, one of the members of the three man panel of justices, Justice C. A. B. Onaga said the petitioner failed to prove his petition against the governor after dumping his documents at the tribunal.

The NNPP candidate had on 7 April approached the tribunal to challenge the declaration of Abdullahi Sule as winner of the governorship election in Nasarawa State by INEC.
