KANO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PASSES 2023 SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION BILL                                                                                       09-10-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       Kano state house of assembly (KNHA), has passed the 2023 supplementary appropriation bill.

This was sequel to deliberations in the committee of the whole, under the leadership of the speaker Alhaji Jibril Isma’il.

Speaking during plenary, the speaker pointed out that, the House has passed the supplementary appropriation to pave way for the executions of more meaningful projects across the state.

He noted that, the bill is in accordance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, as transmitted to the house by the executive arm.

The Supplementary budget of over fifty eight billion naira, would cover capital and recurrent expenditures.

In another development, the house has honored Auwalu Salisu DanBaba, the tricycle rider who returned millions of naira left in his vehicle to its rightful owner.

Kano state house of assembly presented a commendation certificate, and the sum of one million five hundred thousand naira contributed by the lawmakers.

However,all the 40 members of Kano state house of assembly donated #25,000.

Speaking to Africa 247, Auwalu expressed gratitude and prayed to Allah (SWT), for guidance and Protection of KNHA.

The House adjourned it’s sitting to tuesday 10th october 2023, in a motion moved by the Majority leader, Alhaji Lawan Husaini Dala, seconded by member representing Ghari/Tsanyawa, Garba Ya’u Gwarmai.
