PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DR. MUSTAPHA ABDULLAHI AS DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE ENERGY COMMISSION OF NIGERIA                                                                                                              23-10-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi as the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, ECN.

According to a statement, Dr. Mustapha Abdulllahi has served for over a decade in the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, with significant experience in the Energy and Space Technology sectors.

It says Dr. Abdullahi obtained his Doctorate Degree recently in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Renewable Energy, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship as a Research Associate in the School of Engineering, University of Manchester.

Signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri, the statement says President Tinubu expects the new appointee to make a positive impact on his administration’s intensive push to diversify the nation’s energy sources.
