BOKO HARAM KILLS 60 PEOPLE, SEVERAL OTHERS INJURED IN NNGURRO KAYIYYE TOWN IN YOBE                                                                                   02-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      At least 20 persons were reported dead and several others injured after an open body tricycle hit a landmine planted by Boko Haram terrorists in Goni Mittari Village, which is few kilometers away from Gaidam Local Government Area, Yobe State.

The bomb exploded at about 6:30 pm, when members of the public where on their way back home, after paying a condolence visit to their friends and family at a neighboring town, Nngurro Kayiyye which was attacked by a group of unknown Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram.

It was reported that about 40 Men were killed by suspected Boko Haram on Monday due to their inability to pay the taxes imposed, while several others were injured.

According to an eyewitness Usman Nndawo, about 20 people are affected by the explosion and 11 died at the spot on Tuesday.

As at the time of filling this report, the other 9 persons affected by the explosion were also buried on Wednesday Morning.

As a result of the attack about 40 persons are receiving treatment in different hospitals while several others including women and children are still missing.

Gumsa and Nngurro Kayiyye have been a major source of revenue to Boko Haram Insurgents for a very long time.
