CSACEFA SUBEB COLLABORATE TO MONITORING KANO EDUCATION PROJECTS                                                                                                              04-10-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The civil society action coalition on education for all (CSACEFA), has charged the Kano state universal education board ( SUBEB),to put modalities in place, to ensure monitoring and evaluation of education projects and programs, to achieve the desired objectives.

The state coordinator CSACEFA Kano Dr. Auwal Halilu made the call during an advocacy visit to SUBEB,Kano.

According to him, monitoring and evaluation of activities under SUBEB, would improve basic education, transparency and accountability.

He described corrupt practices at all levels, as major catalyst to the under development of education in the country.

Dr. Auwal, appealed to Kano state government to map out policies, aimed at uplifting education to global standard.

Responding, the executive secretary Kano state universal basic education board, Alhaji Yusuf Kabir Gaya pointed out that there’s the urgent need for a joint monitoring by SUBEB and CSACEFA as a relevant stakeholder.

He stressed the need, for the coalition to conduct research on how to improve on basic education in the state, in addition to capacity building for staff of the board.

The executive secretary, urged the coalition to assist government to follow up, and ensure that the learning materials provided by the state, were given to students.

Alhaji Yusuf highlighted that, the state based management committee (SBMC), inclusive education and teacher recruitment policies, would go a long way in providing the needed support to education in Kano.

Africa 247 reports that, earlier CSACEFA also paid an advocacy visit to Kano state house of assembly.
