The Chairman of the committee Mr James Faleke, made the call while reacting to the failure of some MDAs to appear before the committee for the ongoing Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) session at the National Assembly.

He stated that the committee has written letters to all the agencies to appear before it to defend their submissions in compliance with the laws.

Mr Faleke said the agencies are ignoring the invitations, despite the fact that the house must pass the MTEF before the President can lay the budget.

“We want to make it clear that any delay arising from the passage of MTEF is surely not the fault of the National Assembly.
